With some old drums, vegetal percussions, a donkey's jawbone and its accordion, he makes vibrate this sensitive chord which connects us to popular mythology in its most noble. Deceptively rustic and skilfully mixed, his songs mischievously cross popular world music, reminding us that language is rhythm as much as poetry. "ELESA" MZE SHINA Specialists in polyphonies from Georgia in the Caucasus, Denise and Craig Schaffer, founding members and artistic directors of Mze Shina, wanted to create a work of creation on this traditional repertoire by combining the timbre of oriental percussions with the traditional polyphonies of Georgia. "Elesa" thus offers a unique musical journey where the strength and vibratory power of voice and percussion combine to create an unprecedented polyphony that evokes pagan rituals, working songs and the strength of an ancient tradition at the heart. of the Caucasus.
