The municipal media library and games library is managed and run by the manager, Ms. Claire LE MENE and her colleague Gaëdig HUELLOU. It is a large and bright space of 470 m2, friendly and open to all to borrow, play and consult documents on site. At the media library: We offer a wide choice of novels, albums, documentaries, DVDs, CDs, comics, press and documents adapted for people with reading difficulties (audio books, large print). You can also reserve and extend your documents, remotely from home by logging into the online catalog. At the games library: You will find an offer of more than 1000 board games, a gaming area with PS4 console and around thirty video games, a space dedicated to 0-6 year olds focused on awakening and motor skills, a stage area, a space for construction games and a relaxation area. We also offer you: ¤ An "Easy to Read" space which was created on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the municipal media library-toy library. This approach aims to bring remote and/or disabled audiences to reading. The space is located at the entrance to the establishment and is identified by bright colors and visible and accessible signage. You will find books for all ages and adapted to all needs. We also provide our visually impaired audience with a Daisy reader accompanied by a wide choice of audio books. We offer mediation sessions related to the space, by reservation. These are built "tailor-made" to meet the needs expressed. ¤ A seed library: an exchange system where everyone can drop off and take free seeds from crops without chemical fertilizers. The seed library contributes to the development of biodiversity on a principle of sharing and solidarity. It is also a place to exchange know-how relating to the garden. ¤ A manga library area with an offer of more than 1000 mangas of all categories (Shojo, Yaoi, Seinen, Shonen, Yuri, Global manga, etc.) and for all ages. ¤ A multilingual literary and fun offer: 150 fun and printed documents in Breton! ¤ Our cyber space provides you with two computers and a printer (5 prints are authorized per visit). Work tables allow you to come and study in peace. ¤ The "art library" area will make you (re)discover local artists. We also regularly organize game exhibitions there. ¤ A cultural program throughout the year (entertainment, conferences, exhibitions, etc.). ¤ Free digital resources for subscribers (press, self-training platforms for IT, languages, the highway code, etc.) in partnership with the Morbihan Departmental Media Library. Thanks to the Gwezenn network, in place since January 2024, membership to the Gourin media library and games library also gives you access to the offerings of the media libraries and games libraries of Guiscriff, Langonnet, Lanvénégen, Le Croisty, Lignol, Locmalo, Meslan, Ploërdut and Plouray.
