The Parc de Tronjoly in Gourin constitutes a green setting in the center of which nestles a 17th century castle. This beautiful building is reflected in the waters of the reach of an old mill. Its elegance is due to the space that surrounds it as much as to the proportions of the building. The central dwelling is embellished with mansards with small pediments and charming dormers in the roof. A large arched pediment and a coat of arms adorns the center of the facade. A curved wrought iron balcony decorates the French window upstairs. On the west side, a small niche which contained a bell bears this pretty motto "my stamp sounds right to our duty". At the southern gable of the farmhouse, a wide oculus is cut and beautifully crafted surrounded by granite. The western longère, incorporated today into the built complex, was reserved for storage, stables and sheds of the farm located behind the castle. A few steps from the castle, a magnificent green theater has been set up. To stroll through the park, visitors can take the many landscaped paths, the bridges that span picturesque streams and the multiple paths. The wooded area of the park presents majestic trees, several hundred years old, whose name and geographic origin are indicated there. Tronjoly Park is also the starting point for hiking trails that lead to the Black Mountains. In the 1980s, after the death of the last owner, the estate regained a new lease of life thanks to successive municipalities. The layout of the premises has changed their use: the castle is now intended for large gatherings such as the Crêpe Festival or the traditional music and dance championship and for various exhibitions during the summer.
