Begun in 1903, it was restored many times, mainly at the end of the Second World War. The building evokes devotion to the Heart of Jesus, which became a symbol of the revolt of the Chouans during the revolutionary era. Its Greek cross shape divides the chapel into four equal parts. In the center, four pillars support four arcs of circle on which rests an octagonal dome pierced with sixteen openings. A second dome rests on the first. At the top, stands a statue of the Sacred Heart of 2.60 meters. The interior houses frescoes. The ten scenes represented retrace the history of the chapel and explain the object and practices of devotion to the Sacred Heart. Architectural reduction of the Montmartre Basilica, this chapel is nicknamed the "Breton Montmartre".
