What to see in Kernascléden

The church of Notre-Dame

Don't pass through the village of Kernascléden without stopping to visit the church of Notre-Dame! Dating from the 15th century, it owes its construction to donations from the Rohan family and the Duke of Brittany. On the outside, it has all the richness of the flamboyant Gothic style.

Inside, you can admire paintings depicting scenes from the lives of the Virgin Mary and Jesus, angel musicians and even a representation of hell! There is also a danse macabre, a reminder that we are all equal when it comes to death.

But the church also houses another "treasure". A colony of bats has taken up residence here! Visit the Maison de la Chauve-souris to find out more.
