Originally from Charente-Maritime, where he spent his childhood, Éric was only 12 when he discovered sailing on the water. "I liked the concept straight away". But he didn't immediately set out to become a sailing instructor. "I had thought of being an Alpine hunter, but my father told me I wasn't cut out for the army. I thought about enrolling at the Cours Florent but my mother told me that acting wasn't safe enough. So I chose another path!

Éric went on to gain a whole host of training and work experience. Watch out, we're unrolling the list! He has a diploma in forestry, as well as several state qualifications in physical activities for all, sailing and canoeing. He also has a qualification in handisport with a sailing option, a certificate of professional qualification in archery, and continues in the fields of hockey, rhythm and expression music, downhill skiing, etc. He has accompanied classes at sea, in the snow, on rivers or in caravans, and even in heritage. He's also been a Village Vacances entertainer: singing, evening entertainment, karaoke... There's no stopping him! It's impressive, but is there a connection between all that? Yes,physical activity, contact with nature and people, passing on know-how - and that's exactly what Éric likes!
