The Crêtes trail at Gourin

Leaving from the old gatehouse, you will follow the green route no. 7 (Roscoff-Concarneau).

This old railway line between Carhaix and Rosporden was used to transport stone, slate and kaolin from quarries in the Gourin and Guiscriff region, and contributed to the development of agriculture, as well as transporting passengers.

The last train whistle was heard in Gourin in 1967! At the village of Conveau, you start to climb towards the Montagnes Noires ridge line, which offers some lovely viewpoints.

The Pontkalleg to Berné trail

From the chapel of Sainte-Anne-des-bois, you cross part of the Pont-Calleck estate. Perhaps the name rings a bell? The revolt led by the Marquis of the same name, at the head of a section of the Breton nobility, to oppose the royal authorities, who wanted to impose taxes on the Bretons that undermined their privileges.

Before entering the forest of Pont-Calleck, which covers 543 hectares, you will walk along the banks of the river Scorff, renowned for its fario trout. Stop off at the medieval hamlet, a testament to the way of life in days gone by.
