Discover Le Croisty
In Le Croisty, enthusiasts of Breton culture proud of their renowned Celtic circle await you! The church, meanwhile, is well worth a visit for its superb sandstones.
What to see in Le Croisty
Saint-Jean-Baptiste church
This Gothic-inspired church was completed in the 16th century. On closer inspection, however, the Romanesque vaults are reminiscent of an earlier building. The building underwent several renovations over the years. In the 19th century, repairs saved the church from ruin, but it was still so damaged that in the early 20th century, it was considered for closure. Fortunately, this was not to be!
As in many religious buildings in the Pays du Roi Morvan, you can admire the sandpits. Here, they depict centaurs, dogs in packs or roaming alone, hunting scenes and scenes from everyday life. And what about the astonishing representation, in the heart of a church, of this character about to urinate!

A walk not to be missed!
Take advantage of your visit to Le Croisty to do the Knights of St John of Jerusalem trail (13.6 km). There's a good reason why this walk is so named. In the 13th century, the village belonged to these famous knights. Le Croisty actually means "house of the cross".
The hamlet of Kergoff, the fountain of Coët-Milin and the hill of Garhenec are all worth a visit, as are the magnificent views and scenery.
The Celtic Circle
"Danserien ar vro Pourleth, the Celtic Circle of Le Croisty, is developing at the highest level! It has around thirty dancers and trains youngsters from the age of 6. Occasionally, members of the Cercle join forces with talented musicians such as the famous Bagad de Lann-Bihoué! They can be seen performing at numerous festivals in Brittany and, occasionally, abroad.

The Kergoff site
The Kergoff site overlooks the Aër valley. Over the years, the river has cut a 50-metre deep hole in the granite. The site is ideal for hiking or mountain biking for the more adventurous.
The river is also very popular with anglers, who can enjoy a spot of fly fishing.
Motorhomes can take a pleasant break here, and outdoor enthusiasts love this ideal spot for a picnic!
