Le Pays du roi Morvan for you
It's a great country for walking and cycling. The locals are very friendly. It's my adopted country!
Guiscriff, Pays du roi Morvan, everyone comes down!
"A Breton father, a Chtimi mother with Spanish origins, what a mix!The result is a stunning young woman, Solenn Departout-Le Ferrec, with energy to spare!
Solenn has been immersed in tourism since she was a child. Her father was a French teacher in England before becoming a farmer. When he turned part of his farm in Saint-Cast into a farm campsite, it was only natural that Solenn should lend a hand. In fact, she should have taken over the management of the family campsite, but "you can't always do what you want in life...".
Urged by her husband to move to Central Brittany, she finally settled in Guiscriff, near Le Faouët.

A Breton father, a Chtimi mother with Spanish origins - what a mix!

A station without a train at Guiscriff
Now that he's settled in the Pays du Roi Morvan, he'll have to find work. "I did odd jobs. That allowed me to meet the locals and build up my character". Word of mouth did the rest. She learnt that they were hiring at Guiscriff station... "I didn't know the site at all. The train doesn't even run there!Yes, that's right... You mostly see hikers walking along the greenway, stopping at the campsite or just enjoying the café at the station.
So what is this station?
Well, it's a museum that tells the story of the train in Brittany, but not only that...

With Solenn at the helm, Loisirs en Gare is on the right track. Next to the museum, an "escape game" will appear, followed by electric and classic bicycle hire.
And that's it, the train is finally pulling into the station! Well, not a whole train, but at least a carriage...
And yes, you can now sleep in the cabin of a 1926 sleeper train. Of course, we're only travelling in our dreams, but what an experience!
Activities and entertainment by carriage at Loisirs en Gare
And Solenn isn't stopping there. She wants to see new things regularly and activities for everyone. The last thing she wants is to miss out on the entertainment train.
The Loisirs en Gare site is the ideal place for family outings. All year round, we offer shows for the little ones, exhibitions, music, talks in Breton... It's very varied. There's something for everyone.
And she still has lots of projects in the pipeline.
Frankly, it's not easy keeping up with this dynamo, who is a member of the Guiscriff town council as well as the local theatre group. She's definitely the locomotive of the station. Full steam ahead, Solenn!
